Call It Shame If Tommy Fury Loses To Jake Paul, British Sports Promoter: He Should Change His Name Or Go To A Remote Island
JAKARTA - British sports promoter Eddie Hearn says if Tommy Fury loses his upcoming fight against YouTuber Jake Paul, the world of professional boxing will be tarnished.
Tyson Fury's half-brother fight with Paul will take place in Tampa Bay, Florida, on December 18 and tickets will go on sale on November 10.
"Jake Paul is not bad at all, there are many pro fighters who are worse than Jake Paul," Hearn told MARCA, Tuesday, November 2.
"I've seen them, I've had a lot of boxers like them on my show. But it's the most embarrassing thing if he (Fury) loses this fight.
"It's a bold move from Jake Paul because, if he beats him, he really makes a statement. But if Tommy Fury loses, he has to change his name or something.
"Or he shouldn't have changed his name, he should have gone to a desert island somewhere and stayed because that would be the most humiliating thing."
