Two Hours Locked In A Gas Station Toilet, 23-Year-Old Man Found Overdose, Syringe Still Stuck In Hand

JAKARTA - A young man was found lying in a locked toilet at a Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU), Jalan Matraman Raya, East Jakarta. When found, the tattooed man's right hand had a syringe still attached. It is suspected that the young man overdosed due to the influence of the drugs he was taking.

Yanto, an eye witness to the incident, said the victim had been in the toilet for 2 hours with the door closed.

"It makes (drugs), the needle is stuck in the hand," said Yanto to reporters at the location, Tuesday, November 2.

At first, residents thought the young man died of an overdose. The reason, the young man did not move and did not make a sound from inside the locked toilet for several hours.

"Almost two hours in the toilet. (the person) is still young. Due to an overdose (drugs)," added Yanto, an employee of the Matraman gas station.

When Matraman Police officers arrived at the location, the toilet door was immediately broken down. After the police conducted a search, an identity card was found in the name of Yoga Pratama (23), a resident of Sukabumi, West Java. Officers also found insulin (syringe) along with the rest of the drugs.

Furthermore, the young man's body was evacuated by PPSU Kebon Manggis Village and put into an ambulance that had been prepared. When he started to be evacuated, Yoga began to wake up but was still affected by the effects of drugs.

Yoga was then taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for treatment. However, punishment for drug abuse awaits him. The case is being handled by the Matraman Police.
