"We will mobilize all joint SAR personnel as well as the main tools in the field to maximize the search today. We hope that we will find the victims soon," he said.

Hendra said the search for victims was based on the calculation of the search area, weather conditions, and heavy currents from the connecting water channel, where the victim's starting point fell.

Because, according to Hendra, it is estimated that the victim has been dragged to the BKT which is only 500 meters from the scene.

"Later, the team will follow from the scene of the incident to the point where the water channel meets the KBT or BKT river," he said.

It was previously reported that a boy with the initials ABP (9) resident of Pondok Kopi Village, Duren Sawit Sub-district, disappeared after being swept away by the flow of the Connecting River (PHB) on Jalan Robusta, Pondok Kopi, East Jakarta.

The victim fell into the PHB river because he slipped while on the edge of the channel when it was raining. Head of Platoon Company C Fire Fighting Sector Duren Sawit, Basith Hanafi, said the boy was swept away in a connecting channel that leads to the East Flood Canal (KBT) near SDN 08 Pondok Kopi.

"According to his parents, the victim was swept away while playing in the rain with his friends at around 14:00 WIB," explained Basith, at the location of the search for the East Flood Canal, Monday, November 1.

When the victim was swept away, three friends who played with him tried to help by reaching the victim's hand. Unfortunately the attempt failed because of the strong current.

The victim was swept away in a channel with a width of about 50 centimeters and a depth of about 40 centimeters whose flow was directed to the connecting channel and then the East Flood Canal (KBT).
