Munarman Ex FPI Tried At The East Jakarta District Court, Gun Romli: Alhamdulillah, I Hope The Punishment Is Severe!

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office received the delegation of evidence and suspects in the alleged criminal act of terrorism with the suspect Munarman.

Head of the Information and Law Center at the AGO, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, said the Supreme Court had appointed the East Jakarta District Court (PN Jaktim) to examine and decide on the criminal case.

"In the submission of the suspect and the evidence (phase II), the suspect and his legal advisor were cooperative," Leonard said, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 1.

After the handover, Leonard said, the suspect was detained at the detention center with a Prosecution Level Detention Order (T-7) Number RT-225/JKT-TIM/ETL/11/2021 dated November 1, 2021 for 60 days from November 1, 2021 to 30 December 2021 at the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Detention Center.

"The public prosecutor's team will soon prepare an indictment to be immediately transferred to the East Jakarta District Court," Leonard emphasized.

The news of Munarman's trial also received a response from PSI politician, Guntur Romli. He hoped that Munarman could be punished severely.

"Alhamdulillah, hopefully the punishment will be as severe as possible, remember that FPI also remembers @aniesbaswedan. Former FPI official Munarman will be tried soon for terrorism cases in the East Jakarta District Court," said Gun Romli on his Twitter account, @GunRomli quoted Tuesday, November 2nd.

Gun Romli did not explain in detail the relationship between Munarman and Anies in the tweet. Only he uploaded a news that predicted the closeness of Anies and Munarman to finally become the number one person in DKI Jakarta.

The content of the news featured predictions from social media activist, Eko Kuntadhi. Eko said that Munarman and FPI were figures who had contributed greatly to Anies until he was finally elected in DKI.

"I don't know what Anies Baswedan's attitude is about Munarman. We know that Anies is the governor who owes a lot to Munarman and groups like the FPI," said Eko through the Cokro TV Youtube channel last April 2021.

The suspect Munaman was detained at the Polda Metro Jaya detention center by the Densus 88 Police investigators from 7 May 2021 to 31 October 2021.

Munarman is suspected of being involved in a number of terrorist plots in Indonesia. The police suspect that Munarman has taken allegiance in several cities, such as Makassar, Jakarta and Medan. Munarman was arrested by Densus at his home, Pamulang, South Tangerang, Tuesday, April 27.
