JAKARTA As many as 50 corfball athletes participated in the third (Selection) as well as the last from DKI Jakarta to prepare for the 2028 National Sports Week (PON).
The DKI Jakarta Regional Selection which took place at the Tifosi Arena Center, East Jakarta, was completed on Friday, May 23, 2025. Only athletes born from 1998 to 2010 participated in the activity.
Chairman of DKI Jakarta Korfball Adi Dwryptono expressed his appreciation for the support from the DKI Jakarta Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) and the DKI Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) which allowed the regional training camp (Pelatda) to run early.
"With the start of the regional training camp early, the coaching team has more time and options in forming the best team," Adi said on the sidelines of the selection activity.
PON XXII in 2028 will take place in East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara. The DKI Jakarta Korfball will be present with the status of the overall champion of the previous PON in 2024 yesterday in Aceh and North Sumatra.

Adi said that in addition to the target of maintaining this achievement at PON, his party is also targeting success in the National Championship (Kejurnas) for Korfball which is planned to be held by the Central Board of PKSI by the end of 2025.

Athletes who are declared to have passed the selection will immediately undergo a regional training camp program and sign a cooperation agreement (PKS) as part of a professional commitment.
