Wow! 15 Thousand People In Sawah Besar Have Not Been Vaccinated

JAKARTA - As many as 300 volunteers for COVID-19 hunters were deployed by the Sawah Besar Sector Police to pick up residents who had not been vaccinated. After picking up, residents will be taken to the nearest vaccination center provided.

Kapolsek Sawah Besar, Adjunct Commissioner of Police (AKP) Maulana Mukarom said, 300 volunteers were deployed from PPSU, Bhabinkamtibmas, Babinsa, and other volunteers.

The formation of 300 volunteers is expected to achieve herd immunity on 17 August.

"Technically, COVID-19 hunter volunteers work door to door to people's homes in Sawah Besar. Then bring people who have not been vaccinated to participate in vaccinations," said AKP Maulana to VOI at Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday 5 August.

As is known, the COVID-19 vaccination centers in Sawah Besar are located in Kartini Village, Karang Anyar, Gunung Sahari, South Mangga Dua and Pasar Baru. However, even though there are already vaccine centers available, active participation is needed to disseminate information.

"So later we will socialize the importance of vaccines in the midst of this pandemic," he said.

Later, these vaccine hunters will be divided into several teams to visit RW-RW whose vaccination coverage is still low. Even the houses that have been vaccinated will be affixed with stickers.

"We will also put stickers on homes where their families have been vaccinated. So when this is done, these people who have not been vaccinated finally want to get vaccinated. It is hoped that on August 17, 2021 people can achieve herd immunity," he concluded.

Based on data from Sawah Besar District, as many as 104 thousand residents of Sawah Besar have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Meanwhile, 15 thousand other residents have not been vaccinated because there are people with comorbid diseases and survivors.
