In East Java There Is A 'Show Of Force' Patrol Team, Emergency PPKM Supervisor

SURABAYA - East Java (East Java) Deputy Chief of Police Brigadier General Slamet Hadi Supraptoyo dispatched a "Patrol Show of Force" team. This team is tasked with implementing the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the local area.

"This departure is in accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 15 of 2021 concerning Emergency PPKM, which regulates and mandates the activities of the TNI, Polri assists local governments, both provincial and district," he said at the East Java Police Headquarters, in Surabaya, quoted by Antara, Saturday, July 3. .

Emergency PPKM is officially enforced today, July 3, 2021 to July 20, 2021, which will take place on the islands of Java and Bali, and in East Java in 38 regencies/cities.

Brigadier General Slamet explained that the TNI/Polri and the local government carried out joint patrols to ensure that Emergency PPKM could run well at the community level.

"This joint patrol is divided into each area, such as in Greater Surabaya and outside Greater Surabaya, with the hope that Emergency PPKM can run well," he said.

The task of the "Patrol Show of Force" team, said the Deputy Chief of Police, is to carry out socialization, appeals and warnings to the community, so that later they will be used as evaluation material.

"The personnel departing today are divided into five teams. Each team contains 100 people, a combination of the TNI, Polri, Transportation Service and Satpol PP," he said.

Technically, he continued, if officers find people who are not wearing masks, they will be directed to use masks.

Then, when they find that there are residents eating at the location, they will be advised to take them home to avoid crowds.

"The implementation of Emergency PPKM is carried out in synergy by three pillars, namely the TNI, Polri and local governments. All personnel on duty continue to observe strict health protocols," said the Deputy Chief of the East Java Police.
