This year's Eid homecoming flow has had a significant impact on the State Border Terminal (ALBN) of the Ambawang River, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. The number of passengers passing by at the terminal increased by 75 percent ahead of Eid Al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.

"Since D-5 Lebaran, the number of passengers has reached 900 people, an increase of up to 75 percent compared to normal days," said Head of the Ambawang River ALBN Terminal Hanum Siwi Hapsari quoting ANTARA on Sunday, March 30.

He mentioned that until now, as many as 50 buses operate at the terminal to serve passenger arrivals and departures.

"Bus yang beroperasi di terminal ini terdiri atas berbagai jenis, yakni bus Antar Kota Dalam Provinsi -AKDP-, Antar Kota Inter Provinsi -AKAP-, serta bus Inter Negara -ALBN-," tuturnya.

He explained that ALBN buses serve routes to Kuching, Malaysia, while AKDP buses transport passengers to Nanga Pinoh and Sintang. Meanwhile, AKAP buses serve trips to Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan.

Hanum previously predicted that the peak of the homecoming flow at the ALBN Terminal of Sungai Ambawang would occur on D-3 Lebaran, while the backflow was estimated to peak on D+6.

"Facing this spike, we continue to monitor and coordinate so that operations run smoothly and passenger comfort is maintained," he said.

With the increase in the number of travelers, the terminal seeks to smooth the flow of transportation to ensure safe and comfortable travel for people who want to celebrate Eid with their families.
