Sales Marketing In Mataram Embezzled Rp1 Billion Office Money

MATARAM - The Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), arrested a sales marketing agent with the initials NKC, 37 years old. NKC is suspected of embezzling the company where he works, amounting to Rp. 1 billion.

The head of the Mataram Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) Police Commissioner Kadek Adi Budi Astawa, explained that his party arrested NKC based on a report from the company manager.

"In its report, NKC is suspected of embezzling the company's money and causing losses of up to Rp. 1 billion more," said Kadek Adi in Mataram, Wednesday, March 9, quoted from Antara.

With this report, the police carried out a series of investigations until they found evidence that corroborated the indications that NKC had committed a crime of embezzlement.

"From the examination, it was revealed that the losses that arose were caused by the actions of the perpetrators in their capacity as sales marketing," he said.

The perpetrators run the embezzlement mode by using invoices for customers. NKC, who works for this company with merchandise distribution activities, did not deposit the money collected from the collection into the company's treasury.

In addition, said Kadek Adi, NKC made fake letters in the activities of ordering goods by customers.

"He carried out this mode within a year of working. So the company's total loss due to NKC's actions reached more than Rp. 1 billion," he said.

Kadek Adi ensured that the indications of criminal embezzlement allegedly committed by NKC were corroborated with confiscated evidence.

"There is evidence of 44 pieces of memorandum of ordering goods and 26 billing letters. It's all related to the mode he runs," he said.

As a result of his actions, now NKC must be behind bars at the Mataram Police. Investigators have named NKC as a suspect under the suspicion of Article 374 of the Criminal Code regarding Embezzlement in Position. "According to the article we apply, the suspect is now facing a five-year prison sentence," he said.
