JAKARTA - Microsoft brings sophistication of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Bing Chats to Android and iOS users. Now, the app is set to introduce new chatbot widgets.

"Today, we are taking the next step in this journey with a new experience that prioritizes mobile phones that suit our desktop capabilities and brings visual updates across Bing," Microsoft said in its official blog, quoted Wednesday, May 17.

Dengan integrasi widget Bing Chat, pengguna bisa mendapatkan informasi tepat waktu dan cepat, atau langsung mengakses fitur di aplikasi favorit.

The new Bing Chat gadget can be added to the iOS or Android main screen, and users can easily click the Bing icon which will direct users to go directly to Bing Chat, or click the microphone icon to ask questions verbally.

Furthermore, users can now start a Bing Chat conversation on PC and resume it on mobile devices. Where users can ask for a chatbot to create a recipe on PC, and then ask it to provide a replacement in the mobile app when the user is in a grocery store and they run out of ingredients.

Currently, the feature is being launched in stages. To access the feature, users just need to click on the answer on the desktop, then select the phone icon in the options menu to view QR Code. Scan to open on the phone.

In addition, the company also increases the support of the country and language for voice input, as well as the quality for non-English chats. Users can now choose from various languages and voices to adapt their experiences to their tastes and needs.

Another big cellular change is contextual chats on Microsoft Edge on iOS and Android. Similar to what's in the Bing cyde in the desktop version of Edge, this feature can make the mobile browser version read the context of the website where users are located.

Users can tap the Bing Chat icon at the bottom of Edge and ask questions about the website they see, ask them to summarize articles or documents that are being read.

Mobile versions of Edge will also include selected text actions, where users can highlight snippets of text and Bing will explain or summarize them. Microsoft said these two new Edge features will soon be rolled out to mobile users.
