Dyson Launches Advanced Headphone With Noise Reduction Technology And Air Purification

JAKARTA - Dyson will soon release headphones with noise reduction technology and air filtering sold at a price of 820 pounds or around 15 million rupiah. The headphone, called the 'Dyson Zone', is equipped with eye protection that can be removed and installed with a magnet, which can filter the air and drain it into the user's nose and mouth.

Amazingly, the filtering system is able to capture 99 percent of air particles, including powders, dust, bacteria, and viruses such as H1N1.

This headphone is also equipped with an active noise reduction technology that can fit the user's ear shape. The Dyson Zone headphones are designed to reduce noise and air pollution in urban areas around the world. This is considered in response to data showing that one in five people in the EU are exposed to noise pollution, and 99 percent of the world's population, living in areas that exceed the safe limits of pollution according to WHO.

This headphones ear covering can attract air at a speed of 2.5 liters per second, and the potassium-enriched carbon layer is capable of capturing air pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide. Then the filtered air is emitted via a headphone visor that does not touch the face like a traditional mask.

This visor can also be lowered to expose the mouth when speaking, or completely removed when not used. When the visor is lowered, the user can listen to the surrounding sound.

The electrostatic filter on the ear covering needs to be replaced every 12 months to keep the air filter system working. When it has to be replaced, the MyDyson app that is connected to headphones will notify users, and filter replacement can be done on its own at home.

Users can also adjust airflow speeds and audio modes, as well as track air quality levels encountered through the MyDyson app. The Dyson Zone headphones are scheduled for release in the UK on May 17.

This headphone is available in two variants, namely the standard Dyson Zone marked by Ultra Blue at a price of 749.99 pounds or around 14 million rupiahs, and the Dyson Zone Absolute + which has more features and is Prussian Blue at a price of 819.99 pounds or around 15 million rupiahs.

The standard Dyson Zone can be purchased in third-party stores, while Dyson Zone Absolute+ headphones are only available on Dyson stores and Dyson's official website.

Dyson claims these headphones can last up to 50 hours of battery usage just for audio or between 90 minutes and four hours if used simultaneously with the air filtering system.
