JAKARTA - Investor Activist Trillium Capital said on Monday 17 April that photo-stocking firm Getty Images Holdings Inc. should expand and create partnerships with technology companies and publishers to increase its revenue.
Last week, Trillium asked for seats on the Getty board and urged the company to evaluate strategic options including sales.
According to Trillium's statement on Monday, Getty was supposed to expand its partnership with Nvidia Corp to use the company's chip drawing technology and team up with Adobe Inc to combine their media collections.
Trillium also said that shares of image and video platforms must partner with Microsoft and its Bing search engine through their Open API (application programming interface) system.
"Methadata's partnership with Facebook and Instagram Meta Platforms Inc to upload Getty content as well as cooperation with National Geographic, The New York Times Co, and The Washington Post to upload and download digital libraries must also be considered," Trillium said.
The investor holding more than 500,000 Getty stocks said the platform should expand its generic stock photo library to special events such as religious functions, weddings, graduations, and family celebrations.
