JAKARTA - As technology giants around the world work to realize the idea of having a generative artificial intelligence (AI) to help humans in everyday life, some believe that the risk of the new technology raging remains close. Given this possibility, Tesla and Twitter leader Elon Musk reminded people of the AI's potential to destroy civilizations.
On March 15, Musk's plan to make a new AI startup emerged after the businessman was reported to have gathered a team of AI researchers and engineers. However, Musk continues to highlight AI's destructive potential - just like any other technology - if it falls into the wrong hands or is developed with bad intentions.
Anyone who thinks this risk is 0% is an idiot

According to Musk, AI could be dangerous. In an interview with FOX, he said that AI could be more dangerous than aircraft designs that are not well managed or production maintenance, for example. While acknowledging the low probability, he stated:
"But it's unlikely, but it's significant - it has the potential to destroy civilization," Musk said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, tech entrepreneurs like Bill Gates remain more optimistic about AI and the positive impacts that can be brought on humans.
On April 13, Amazon became the newest tech giant to join the race to create an AI service. Amazon Bedrock allows users to build and measure a generating AI application.
According to a blog post announcing the service, Bedrock allows users to "personally adapt the foundation model to their own data, and easily integrate and implement it into their app."
