JAKARTA - Apple announced its newest wireless audio device, namely AirPods Max. These headphones with over-ear design provide a new experience in listening to music.

"With AirPods Max, we are bringing the magical AirPods experience to a stunning over-ear design with high sound quality," said Apple's senior vice president of international marketing, Greg Joswiak, in a press release on Apple's official blog, Wednesday, December 9.

AirPods have been using a small design so that they can be tucked into the ear lobe, while this Max version will cover the entire ear and the hook that surrounds the head.

Apple makes ear cushions, ear cushions, using a special foam designed to support sound quality and muffle it around the ear.

Controls for sound, including volume, turn on and off, as well as a button to answer the phone and Siri virtual assistant pinned on the headpone. Apple calls the control the Digital Crown, inspired by the Apple Watch.

AirPods Max uses an H1 chip in each loudspeaker, equipped with sound computing technology to produce quality audio.

The features embedded in the AirPods Max include Active Noise Cancellation, Adaptive EQ and transparent mode.

Apple also provides an automatic change feature, automatic switching, when a user switches between iPhone, Mac and iPad. While the Siri virtual assistant on this device can be used to play music, adjust the volume, and read incoming messages with the Announce Message with Siri feature.

This US $ 549 device can be connected to an iPhone with at least iOS 14.3, an iPad with iPadOS 14.3 and above, a MacBook MacOS Big Sur 11.1 system, Apple TV tvOS 14.3 and Apple Watch watchOS 7.2.
