Marc Marquez Relieves Valentino Rossi's Anger

JAKARTA Marc Marquez tried to reduce the anger of his former rival, Valentino Rossi, regarding the hunt for the MotoGP world title in the 2015 competition season.

Rossi recently brought up the injuries of their fight in 2015 which saw him fail to win the MotoGP world title that year.

In his statement, The Doctor accused Marquez of being unsportsmanlike and blamed the Spaniard for his failure at the time.

Rossi's brutal words came as Marquez was preparing to enter the Ducati garage with Valentino Rossi's protg, Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia.

Marquez then dismissed the statement, but not with anger. He issued a statement hinting at refusing to get involved in a war of words with the legend.

"Two people can't fight if one doesn't want to," he said as quoted by Sports Illustrated quoting Marca.

Efforts to pour cold water into the fire started by Rossi are considered the ideal tactics ahead of 2025. As is known, next year Marquez will be on the same team as Bagnaia.

Thus, he had to adapt to the Ducati spec of the factory after one season driving a longer version with Gresini.

"In this year's team, I found the perfect environment to be reborn, to be there without pressure, to have fun. Gresini is a passionate team," he said.

Rossi lost the 2015 title to Jorge Lorenzo in a season marked by several controversial fights on the race track with Marquez.

To this day, Rossi continues to accuse Marquez of conspiring against him. He continues to attribute his defeat and shows no sign of forgetting the controversy.
