Alfredo Tata No Longer Strengthens Arema FC, This Is The Reason

JAKARTA - Mikael Alfredo Tata is certain to no longer strengthen Arema FC squad in the second round of the 2023/2024 Liga 1 competition.

The reason the team defender nicknamed Singo Edan was because he decided to resign.

Arema FC Team Manager Wiebie Dwi Andriyas said that the club management, which is currently 16th in the standings for the 2023/2024 Liga 1 season, had already held talks with Tata.

"We have spoken and discussed with Tata and the coaching team. Tata chose not to continue at Arema FC," said Wiebie as quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 5.

Wiebie explained that Arema FC management respects the decisions made by players who use the number 58 shirt while strengthening the team who are currently trying to get out of the relegation zone.

The decision, he continued, had been carefully considered because it was related to the 19-year-old Jakarta player's career and future. However, Arema FC management did not specify why Tata chose to withdraw from the club

"Of course we respect the decision. A decision that has been carefully considered because it relates to future careers," he added.

Apart from Alfredo Tata, another player who will leave Arema FC is Asyraq Gufron who will be loaned to Liga 2 club, Persikab Bandung Regency. The centre-back player, borrowed by Persikab as needed.

"In the competition transfer market, Asyraq Gufron is the second player to be loaned to Persikab. This is in accordance with their request, this has also been discussed by the coaching team," he said.

Ahead of the second round, there were four players who left Arema FC. Three players left Arema FC on loan status, namely Hamdi Sula to PSMS Medan, and Gufron and Samsudin to Persikab, Bandung Regency. Meanwhile, Alfredo Tata decided to leave Arema FC.

Currently, Arema FC, which is inspired by Portuguese coach Fernando Valente, is still in the relegation zone of Liga 1 competition. The Arema FC, which was strengthened by Gustavo Almeida, is 16th with 17 points.

Arema FC has played 18 matches, which were only able to bag four wins, five draws and nine defeats. In the last match against Dewa United, Arema bagged a 2-1 victory. FC's theme, which is currently in the relegation zone, is above Persikabo 1973 with a collection of 14 points and Bayangkara with eight points.
