JAKARTA PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator of the Indonesian League 1 competition strongly condemns the beating against Madura United's media officer Ferdiansyah Alifurrahman.
The incident that happened to Ferdiansyah occurred after the match against PSS Sleman in the continuation of Liga 1 2023/2024 at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sunday, September 24, yesterday. He was beaten while attending a press conference session for coaches and players.
LIB in an official statement said that they deeply regretted the incident. They also hope that the same incident will not happen again in the upcoming matches.
"The incident seriously injures the value of sportsmanship and fair play which has been our guideline in navigating competitions. We also strongly condemn all acts of violence on and off the pitch," the LIB wrote on their website.
After the incident, LIB immediately conducted an investigation. They asked for information from parties related to the incident, namely the two teams, Panpel, witnesses at the scene, and also match commissioners.

"LIB really hopes that this incident will be the last time, and it will be a lesson for us as operators and all contestants to be even better at organizing the match. We have prepared strategic and tactical steps to strengthen security protection from the committee side of the match," they added.
