JAKARTA - The international golf tournament, Indonesian Masters 2023, will start again. This year there will be 144 golfers from all over the world who will enliven the event on November 16-19.

Rolling out for the 11th time in Indonesia, the Royal Golf Club is once again trusted to be the venue for a tournament that will win a prize of 11.5 US dollars (IDR 23 billion). Repeatedly held at the same venue, the Indonesian Masters 2023 continues to innovate and present new breakthroughs to attract even more spectators.

This was revealed by Jimmy Masrin as founder of Indonesian Masters 2023. He said that the organizers had prepared special innovations.

For him, this event is not just a golf competition, but it is also hoped that it can be a means to expose Indonesia to the eyes of the world.

"Of course we want to have gimmicks so that lots of spectators come, lots of spectators watch on TV. "Maybe we will also try broadcasting it on local TV, we are currently discussing it so that everyone can come, attend and enjoy the event," said Jimmy at a press conference in Kuningan, South Jakarta on Wednesday, September 13.

"That (the form of gimmick in question) for example, we have a food stall, there are stall sponsors there (in the competition area), it's there for attraction, right? There's also an academy there for the players to give lessons to young people," added Jimmy.

Jimmy's ambition to improve the quality of the Indonesian Masters 2023 is not without reason. The increase in the status of this tournament to an International Series since last year was the main trigger.

"Every year we try to improve (organization). This year we are also burdened to make a better tournament. "Especially now we have to compete with the International Series in other countries," said Jimmy.

"So the main aim of this event is to expose Indonesia as a suitable country for golfers. "Hopefully if we can organize the event well, it will also be seen on broadcast," he said.

For the 2023 Indonesian Masters agenda, there will be 144 golfers who will participate in the event. Indonesia as the host gets 12 slots which will still have to go through a selection process.

“The golf event is usually attended by 144 players. (The number) can go up, it can go down, depending on the event and the weather. "However, this time we (followed) 144 players," explained Jimmy regarding athlete participation in the 2023 Indonesian Masters event.

"Indonesian (golf athletes) will get 12 spots, which will be taken from the PGATI sequence," he said.
