JAKARTA Manchester United star Antony is being investigated by the authorities after allegations of sexual harassment he sexually abused his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin.

This investigation was carried out after his ex-husband revealed messages that were so disturbing that were allegedly sent from the Brazilian footballer. That includes a message that reads "I hope you die".

The Manchester Police have confirmed that they are aware of the allegations against the former Ajax Amsterdam player. However, they declined to comment further.

"The Greater Manchester Police are aware of the allegations made and the investigation is still ongoing to determine the circumstances around this report. We will not comment further at this time," the police said, reported by The Sun.

The Manchester police comments came after police in Sao Paolo in Brazil opened an investigation last June after Cavallin filed a report alleging "in-house violence, threats, and body injuries".

However, the 23-year-old, who was bought by Manchester United for a dowry of 85 million last year, has denied accusations against him. In a post on social media he called it a false accusation.

In the same upload, he also offered to cooperate with the authorities in the investigation process. He insisted that an ongoing investigation would "explain the truth" that he was not wrong.

"To respect my fans, friends and family, I feel obliged to speak openly about false accusations that make me a victim," Antony wrote.

However, Cavallin recently published the latest evidence to strengthen his accusations against Antony. The evidence was first published by Brazilian media, UOL, one of the largest news providers in South America.

In the evidence, there are two new photos showing injuries to the head and radius of Cavallin. He claimed the injuries were the result of an attack allegedly carried out by Antony.

He accused his finger of being injured to the bone and was attacked while he was pregnant. Another piece of evidence is messages on the WhatsApp application containing Antony's message expecting his ex to die.

These messages came after Cavallin refused to reply to messages and calls from Antony.

"It's finished between you and me. I hope you die. You're disgusting. You don't even reply to WhatsApp and turn off your internet," wrote Antony.

The surprising allegations came weeks after Gabriela was said to be preparing to report Antony to the police in Britain on charges of domestic violence.

As many as four alleged attacks were described in reporting to the police. The series of attacks took place in Sao Paolo, in Amsterdam, and in Manchester.
