Bastianini Makes Marquez A Black Goat For His Failure In The British MotoGP

JAKARTA - Ducati Lenovo racer, Enea Bastianini failed to finish at the English MotoGP on Sunday, August 6 evening WIB. He accused Marc Marquez of being responsible for the situation that befell him.

In the race that took place at the Silverstone Circuit, Bastianini collided with Marc Marquez at Turn 11 on lap 15th. The Baby Aliens touched the rear tire of Bastianini's motorbike.

Marquez fell at corner 12 and could not continue the race. On the other hand, Bastianini can continue the race.

However, Bastianini felt that something was wrong with his motorbike after colliding with Marquez. He then fell at Turn 15.

"Marc (Marquez) hit me at Turn 11, when he was about to enter," Bastianini was quoted as saying by Crash, Monday, August 7.

"At Turn 15, I tried to brake but it was impossible to stop the bike, so I immediately drove," he continued, telling the situation on the circuit.

After contact with Marc, something happened to his motorbike. In addition, the tires were also damaged. Maybe, that's why I fell," Bastianini said again.

Of the nine races that have taken place this season, Bastianini and Marquez are drivers who rarely finish. Marquez has never even finished the main race or feature race in the 2023 MotoGP.

The Spanish rider took 19th place in the 2023 MotoGP standings with 15 points thanks to the results in the sprint race. The same condition experienced by Bastianini, he has only finished twice this season.

With this acquisition, Bastianini is one level above Marquez in 18th position with 18 points. Regarding the two-time finish that was just achieved by Bastianini, it cannot be separated from the situation that was damaged by the injury which he said had now improved.

"Physically I'm fine," Bastianini said of his return from injury.

"But the bike is very different so I don't feel relaxed on the seat."

Bastianini said about his adaptation from Gresini's motorbike last year to Desmodedici specifications 2023. According to him, there are many things that have been changed.

"We changed the bike a lot for racing, to do something more. But nothing has changed," said El Bestia.

"The race was very difficult for me. Only on the hardest braking I felt strong. On the other side of the track, no."

"We've tried the back suspension, we're trying to modify the bike, but maybe we need more, something more," explained the rider.

According to Bastianini, the Ducati engine he is driving is currently too aggressive and not good for him. He also felt it took more time to find a pattern in riding his iron horse.

"Last year it was normal but the engine is now different. My sensation (different). This machine is very aggressive for me, not a good choice," he explained.

"I need time to understand this," said the former Gresini Racing rider.
