Secure WSL Krui Pro 2023, Lampung Police Deploy Hundreds Of Joint Personnel

The Lampung Regional Police deployed more than 323 joint personnel to secure the 2023 Krui Pro 2023 World Surf League (WSL) international surfing championship in West Coast Regency which will begin on June 12, 2023.

"We have prepared more than 323 joint personnel from the West Coastal Police and the Lampung Regional Police to secure the implementation of the WSL Krui Pro, which we named Operation Tuhuk Krakatau 2023," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Kombes Pol Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, quoted from Antara, Sunday, June 11.

He said that currently all personnel who were prepared had shifted to the focus point of WSL security in Krui and carried out the title rally for the Tuhuk Krakatau troops.

"So I emphasize that the Lampung Regional Police are ready to secure the WSL Krui Pro 2023 international event, which will be attended by more than 290 surfers and officials," he said.

According to him, the WSL Krui Pro 2023 Championship at the westernmost end of Lampung Province which borders the provinces of Bengkulu and South Sumatra or about 380 km from Bandarlampung City is an activity that is one of the world's concerns, because world athletes will compete in the QS 5,000 class.

"From yesterday the information was that surf athletes had arrived, as had local and foreign tourists," he said.

Pandra said security would also be carried out by police personnel, to athletes and athletes' officials since they landed in Lampung, both from Radin Inten II Airport and Bakauheni Port.

"So in Operation Tuhuk Krakatau 2023, all of them moved to back up athletes and officials who by road by relay to Krui. At the location of the WSL Krui Pro 2023 event, a command and information tuorism center has also been prepared," he said.
