Look At Garudayaksa-Persib Players In Qatar, Prabowo: Please Enjoy World Class Luxury Facilities

JAKARTA - Garudayaksa academy administrator who is also the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto visited Garudayaksa-Persib players at Aspire Academy, Qatar.

"I am proud and happy. You are here as part of my promise. Feel and enjoy world-class luxury facilities here," Prabowo said in a written statement, Thursday, May 2.

Aspire Academy is a sports training complex in Qatar with luxurious and modern facilities that accommodate thousands of potential athletes every year. Specifically for football, at least 50 clubs come to study in Aspire every year.

During the visit, Prabowo received a question from the captain of Persib U-17 Mohammad Akram regarding when Indonesia has complete and modern facilities such as the Aspire academy.

Prabowo said that soon Indonesia will have modern football facilities that can support footballers, especially potential young players.

While seeing the training of Garudayaksa-Persib children, Prabowo also received a lot of explanations from the Director General of Aspire Academy who is also the Technical Director of the Qatar National Team Ivan Bravo regarding the development of potential young players.

Prabowo explained that soon the finalists of the Nusantara Open 2022, PSLS Lhokseumawe will also be sent to study at the Aspire Academy. The head of the Garudayaksa-Persib Delegation, Fary Francis, added that the Indonesian U-16 national team would also be sent to the academy in Qatar.

"All of this is for the sake of Indonesia, for the sake of Indonesian football, for the sake of big dreams I will bring the Indonesian national team to the World Cup," said Prabowo.

The coach of the Indonesian U-23 national team, Indra Sjafri, was present to accompany Prabowo Subianto to see the progress of the young players who were studying at the Aspire Academy.

"He (Prabowo) is a great figure whose attention is very great for the progress of Indonesian football," said Indra Sjafri.

Prabowo is optimistic about the talents of Indonesian footballers. He hopes that players who gain knowledge at the Aspire Academy can become star players and players of the Indonesian national team who are able to bring the red and white flag to the World Cup.

"Indonesia has thousands of talents who can become the golden generation of Indonesian football. They will become great stars and prospective players of the Indonesian national team. They will be the ones who fly the flag of our nation at the World Cup," said Prabowo.
