The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the Polda Metro Jaya has prepared traffic engineering related to the procession of the 2023 SEA Games national team (timnas) which won gold in Cambodia on several roads. Capital City on Friday (19/5).

"Of course there is traffic engineering, especially the Sudirman-Thamrin route. Tomorrow is also working hours, but this is a tight day (off), hopefully, car users will decrease," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Latif Usman when contacted in Jakarta, Thursday.

Latif is also still waiting for information on which routes the national team player will pass.

"Look at the situation tomorrow, for the security unit we are working on, traffic engineering will be later, this is still waiting for a fixed route, because the first one is from the Merdeka Palace, both of which have information from the GBK, so we are still making sure," said Latif.

Latif will also lower a number of his members at points that are predicted to occur in vehicle current density.

"Of course, from all points for, it's not just Sudirman-Thamrin, later we will start the arrangement starting from Kuningan to the SCBD area, after that from Slipi, Palmerah, from Fatmawati we also arrange," he explained.

Latif also appealed to motorists who may have no interest tomorrow to avoid the Sudirman-Thamrin route so as not to increase traffic congestion.

Previously, it was reported that the Indonesian U-22 national team ended the 32-year wait for a gold medal from the soccer sport, thanks to a 5-2 victory over Thailand in the final match played at the National Stadium, Phnom Penh, Tuesday night.

Garuda Muda did not get the victory easily, after winning 2-0 in the first half, Thailand was able to equalize to 2-2 before normal time ended. However, Indonesia was then able to secure a gold medal thanks to three additional goals in extra time.

The Indonesian team at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia won third place with medals 87 gold, 80 silver, and 109 bronze.
