Determining The Best Composition Of The U-22 Indonesian National Team To Face The Semifinals Of The 2023 SEA Games

JAKARTA - The U-22 Indonesian national team qualified for the semifinals with perfect score. In the four preliminary matches of the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games Group A, the Garuda squad always wins.

Most recently, Marselino Ferdinand and his friends beat the host Cambodia with a score of 2-1. The result places Indonesia as group winners and will challenge group B runners up.

Ahead of the semifinals, the coach of the Indonesian U-22 national team, Indra Sjafri, confirmed that all the players were in good condition. Even after the tight match against Cambodia in the last match, there were no players who had problems with their physical condition.

"Satryo has no problem. Likewise with Bagas, he is also not a problem," said Indra Sjafri.

With the current condition of the players, Indra Sjafri ensures that all players brought to Cambodia can be deployed in the semifinals.

"All the players are ready. We just have to determine the best composition in the semifinals later. From the four matches the team has played, we can already see the players who will come down later," Indra added.

During four group matches, namely against the Philippines, Myanmar, Timor Leste and Cambodia, the coach from West Sumatra always rotated players and the results were quite maximal.

Regarding Cambodia, the man who is also PSSI's Technical Director admitted that he experienced rapid developments. This was proven during the Garuda Muda team's match, they could only win narrow 2-1.

"His spirit is extraordinary. The prospect players are also good. Likewise with support including from supporters. Just look, every time you play the stadium is always full," said the former Bali United coach.
