JAKARTA - The dominance was shown by Indonesian athletes in the MTB Cross Country Olympic (XCO) men's 2023 SEA Games. Three Indonesian racers managed to wipe out medals.

Amazingly, three Red and White athletes managed to touch the finish line side by side while in action at Kulen Mountains, Siem Reap, Cambodia, Saturday. Feri Yudoyono, who is debutant, became a star by winning a gold medal with a time of 1 hour 13.51 minutes.

Meanwhile, Zaenal Fanani, who is Feri's older brother, was behind him packing 18 seconds of silver.

Ihza Muhammad perfected Indonesia's victory by finishing in third place. He was one minute 15 seconds adrift of the winner of the race.

Even so, Ihza had to give up bronze to the Cambodian racer, Kham Menglong, who finished fourth. Because, according to the rules of the SEA Games Federation (SEAGF) in the one country race, you cannot wipe out the medal.

Apart from that, the results of today's competition emphasized the toughness of Indonesian cycling in the Southeast Asia region.

Feri proved himself to be a young Red and White potential racer. The man who was born on April 5, 2004, impressed after starting the race in 13th position.

The athlete, who was born on August 16, 2003, was in front of Malaysian athlete Nur Assyra Zainal Abidin who won silver after posting a record of one hour 17.09 minutes. Bronze belongs to Thailand Yonthanan Phonkla with a time of one hour 18.42 minutes.
