JAKARTA - Indonesian women's singles, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, successfully secured the title at the 2023 Spanyol Masters. In fact, he is waiting for another schedule, namely the 2023 Orleans Masters.

However, Gregoria will withdraw from the Super 300 tournament. This certainty was revealed by the women's singles coach, Herli Djaenudin.

He explained that Gregoria's strong reason for not appearing at the Orleans Master 2023 on April 4-9 is related to his non-principal physical condition.

"Looking at the unfavorable conditions, Gregoria will withdraw from the Orleans Masters tournament," Herli said in an official statement from PBSI.

"It is feared that the condition in the right back of the thigh and waist which are now starting to hurt," added the coach.

Herli then said that his party did not want to take greater risks if they continued to dispatch Gregoria to the tournament. He then decided not to send Gregoria to France.

"We are afraid and worried that being forced to become a more severe injury. It is better to rest and treat the doctor first. This is also to prepare for the next match, such as the Asian Championships in Dubai," said Herli.

Previously Gregoria performed optimally at the Spain Masters 2023, he even managed to secure a place in the final round after overthrowing the hosts, Carolina Marin in the semifinals.

In the final match, Gregoria's opponent was also not easy because he had to face the second-ranked Indian representative, Pusarla Sindhu. But Gregoria managed to show quality even though at that time his condition was also starting to get bad, he won over Sindhu with a score of 21-8 and 21-8.
