Achieve The Australian GP F1 Pole Position, Max Verstappen Still Feels Complicated

JAKARTA - Red Bull Racing racer Max Verstappen won the pole position in the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix (F1 GP) race. He got that position after mastering the qualifying session which took place at the Albert Park Circuit, Saturday, April 1.

Verstappen recorded the fastest time of 1 minute 16,732. This is the first pole in the Australian GP F1 which was won by the Dutch racer.

Even though he was happy with the pole he had achieved, there were things that still disturbed the feelings of the 2022 F1 world champion.

"I'm very happy to get a pole, and I'm looking forward to racing tomorrow. I think we have a good racing car but the tires are complicated, so tomorrow's race will definitely be interesting," Verstappen was quoted as saying by AFP via Antara.

Behind the reigning champions, there are the Mercedes duo who firmly finish in second and third positions. George Russell won second place with the best time of 1 minute 16,968 seconds.

While his team-mate, Lewis Hamilton, trailed the best time recorded at 1 minute 17,104 seconds.

"What an extraordinary season for us. The car felt alive, and to be honest I was disappointed that I didn't get pole because the car felt amazing," said Russell.

Meanwhile, Aston Martin, who has finished on the podium twice this season, Fernando Alonso, is still proving himself for a promising performance by finishing fourth.

The fifth to tenth positions are filled by Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), Alexander Albon (Williams), Pierre Gasly (Alpine), and Nico Hulkenberg (Haas).
