Morocco Wins Thin 2-1 In The Friendship Match Against Brazil

JAKARTA - Morocco won a narrow 2-1 victory over Brazil in a friendly match at Grande Stade de Tanger, Morocco, Sunday morning WIB.

Morocco took the lead through Sofiane Boufal's goal before Brazil hit back through Casemiro's goal in the second half. The home team's winning goal was scored by Abdelhamid Sasasi.

This victory continued the positive trend of the Morocco national team after the 2022 World Cup, where they were able to reach the semifinals in the competition and became the first African country to do so.

Morocco created an opportunity in the 24th minute. The measured bait from Noussair Mazraoui could be controlled by Hakim Ziyech before the Chelsea midfielder fired. Unfortunately the direction is still wide of the Brazil goal that was guarded by Waverton.

Vinicius Junior had put Selecao ahead with his goal in the 26th minute. However, the referee ruled out the goal because it was offside.

Three minutes later, the hosts cheered thanks to Sofiane Boufal's goal in the 29th minute.

Brazilian players made mistakes and lost the ball in their own area. Bilal El Khannous then sent the ball to Boufal, who turned his back to the net.

He then rotated and kicked the ball into the net which left Waverton helpless. The 1-0 score lasted until the first half ended.

Both teams did not lower the tempo of their attack in the second half, but a number of their attempts still failed to bear fruit.

Brazil took advantage of Morocco's negligence to equalize in the 67th minute.

First time Casemiro's long-range shot was caught by goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, but his catch slipped before sliding into the net. The score becomes 1-1.

Morocco took the lead again in the 79th minute. Brazil lost the ball on their own territory.

Attiyat-Allah immediately combed the edge of the field and released the cross before it was completed with Sadari's volley which goalkeeper Weverton failed to stop.

Morocco's 2-1 advantage over Brazil lasted until the game ended.
