JAKARTA - Manchester United have reportedly made an agreement to sign Bruno Fernandes. Like a dream come true, the Sporting Lisbon captain went on to say, moving to the Premier League was always his choice.

One of football's most protracted transfer stories is believed to be reaching its final conclusion. Fernandes is ready to replace his Sporting shirt with United in a deal estimated at no less than £ 47 million.

Fernandes will reportedly travel to Manchester on Wednesday 29 January. The player has previously been linked with many Premier League giants both during the summer transfer window and this January.

Launching Soccerway, Fernandes, who was once said to be moving to Barcelona and Valencia, revealed that the Premier League was always his first choice.

Then, is United the specific choice? The Portugal international midfielder replied: "Any club."

The striker who was previously linked with Tottenham and Real Madrid has scored 15 goals in all competitions for Sporting this season. The 25-year-old scored 31 goals last season, including 20 in Portugal's Primeira Liga.
