Kevin Lee Awaits Conor McGregor's Challenge

JAKARTA - Kevin Lee knows how prestigious his fight with Conor McGregor is. But, don't expect him to beg UFC officials for the fight.

Lee fought hard inside the Octagon with defeats to Al Iaquinta and Rafael dos Anjos. 'Motown Phenom' has now reinvented itself. He came from a spectacular knockout win over Gregor Gillespie.

Lee told BJPenn.com that Islam Makhachev avoided him. He said games against Conor McGregor or Paul Felder were what caught his eye.

"Look, fighting Islam will be a big fight in Russia, but the fact that he said no, I am now looking for another fight," added Lee.

"I know Paul Felder is looking for a fight, they are looking for someone for Conor McGregor on January 18th, who hasn't been set yet. They are talking about 'Cowboy' but no contract has been signed. I don't know, there are many options."

Lee doesn't seem to mess with his passion for McGregor. He keeps trying to share Octagon with 'The Notorious'.

“I won't even call him. "I'm not going to call Dana (White) and ask to give me this fight because I know it and anyone who follows the sport knows I will beat it," said Lee.

“The UFC doesn't want him to accept losses or losses because they will lose cash. They have put a lot of money and time on McGregor. But, from the competitor's point of view, I feel this is something that should be presented to the audience. If he wanted to fight for the title, and fight against Khabib, he would have to fight tough wrestlers. What makes sense, my honest opinion is that the fight has to happen, "he said.
