July 2023, The IMI Automotive Museum At TMII Featuring Classic, Legendary, And Historical Vehicles Can Be Enjoyed Together

Bamsoet is currently reviewing the location of the Indonesian IMI Automotive Museum at TMII.

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly and Chairman of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet) together with the President Director of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) Claudia Ingkiriwang visited the 4-hectare Oil and Gas Museum at TMII which will be converted into the Indonesian IMI Automotive Museum.

The design was carried out by the famous Indonesian architect, Jeffrey Budiman. It is targeted to be completed in July 2023, so that it can be inaugurated in conjunction with the inauguration of the completion of the TMII renovation which will be carried out by President Joko Widodo in August 2023.

The Indonesian IMI Automotive Museum in the TMII area has a very strategic location. Very close to Gate 4 TMII Entrance Gate which will later be converted into Gate 4 of the Indonesian Automotive Museum. So that visitors who come can immediately park their vehicles at the location of the Indonesian IMI Automotive Museum without having to bother parking their vehicles in the Golden Kong area or at the Elevated TMII parking building.

"In addition to providing education to the public by presenting various classic, legendary, and historic vehicles in Indonesia, the Indonesian Automotive IMI Museum will also prepare sports entertainment by presenting electric gokart circuits to racing simulators that can be used by visitors. This includes being used by the automotive community to organize various electric gokart racing championships and virtual racing championship virales using simulators," said Bamsoet after reviewing the location of the Indonesian IMI Automotive Museum at TMII, Jakarta, Thursday, March 30.

The various vehicles to be displayed at the Indonesian IMI Automotive Museum, for example, presidential cars from the era of President Soekarno to President Joko Widodo, are also classic vehicles owned by automotive lovers who have high historical value for the development of the automotive world in Indonesia.

Bamsoet added, the museum is also equipped with racing vehicles that have historical value because they have been used by Indonesian racers in various international championships in making Indonesia proud. For example, the racing car that Ananda Mikola used when she first participated in Formula Asia at the age of 14 in 1994, Gokart, which Moreno Soeprapto used in various international championships, to racing vehicles Sean Gelael when he won the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Indonesian IMI Automotive Museum is also equipped with location maps, diorama and miniaturized international and national circuits that already exist in Indonesia. Such as the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Lombok NTB, Sentul International Circuit and Sentul International Carting Circuit in Bogor Regency to the Zabaq National Circuit in Tanjung Jabung Timur Jambi Regency. As well as displaying location maps and dramas of international circuits that will be built by IMI in various parts of Indonesia, such as the Bintan International Green Circuit in Bintan Kepri, Speed City Circuit at PIK Jakarta as well as the Jakabaring International Circuit in Palembang, South Sumatra.
