165 ASN DKI Satpol PP Main Judi Online, Heru Budi: Some Are Right, Some Are Not

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono responded to a letter from the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate regarding the findings of 165 state civil servants (ASN) of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP who were caught playing online gambling.

Heru assessed that this needs to be clarified again by the Satpol PP. According to him, there is a possibility that not all ASNs found to have committed online gambling are confirmed to be true. It could be that only their identities are used by other parties.

"Yes, there is a letter from the Inspectorate. (The letter asked for) clarification, checked again. Some are true, some are not," said Heru at SDN Wijaya Kusuma 05, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, Friday, September 20.

On the one hand, Heru said that the findings of more than a hundred Civil Servants of Civil Service Police Unit who recorded online gambling transactions would be followed up with coaching.

"That's in the context of coaching, the inspectorate wrote to the Head of the PP Police for guidance and clarification," said Heru.

The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) found 165 ASN within the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP playing online gambling.

The DKI Jakarta Inspectorate also sent a letter to the Head of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin to convey this. The letter numbered e.0519/P4.01.00 which was signed on September 10, 2024.

"We hereby convey that based on PPATK data sources, there are 165 ASN in your work environment who are indicated to carry out online gambling activities, with names as attached," wrote DKI Jakarta Inspectorate Secretary Dina Himawati in a letter.

In the letter, it also includes the names of ASN who carry out online gambling activities and the nominal transactions they carry out. The DKI Jakarta Inspectorate also asked Arifin to provide guidance to his employees.

"In this regard, so that you immediately clarify and provide personnel guidance by referring to the provisions governing the discipline and code of ethics of Civil Servants," said Dina.

Some time ago, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono indeed asked the identity data of online gambling players in Jakarta to the Online Judi Eradication Task Force. After obtaining this data, Heru will look for anyone from the DKI Provincial Civil Servants (ASN) and recipients of social assistance (bansos) who play online gambling.

Heru emphasized that he would impose sanctions on ASN DKI Jakarta Provincial Government who were caught playing online gambling. The sanctions are regulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline.
