Pramono Will Use The Remaining Regional Budget For Employment Expansion For Gen Z-Millennials

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung's candidate and candidate for Deputy Governor Rano Karno will make a breakthrough in expanding employment opportunities for Generation Z and millennials, if they win the 2024 Pilkada.

Pramono named the job expansion program which he initiated with the Jakarta Fund. Later, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will allocate funds from the remaining more budget calculations (SiLPA) of the Jakarta APBD for financing.

"With the APBD of around Rp. 80 trillion to 86 trillion, Jakarta can make a Jakarta Fund. If it can make the Jakarta Fund managed professionally, which I believe from the SiLPA of the APBD alone can be used to reverse it, then it can expand its activities," said Pramono at Simpang Semanggi, Central Jakarta, Thursday, September 19.

In recent years, the DKI Jakarta Regional Budget SilPA each year has reached no less than IDR 5 trillion per year. The former Cabinet Secretary said that the idea of allocation of funds for job expansion from the rest of the APBD could be the answer to overcome the needs of the younger generation of employment.

"One of the most basic factors in Jakarta is the highest, especially for gen Z and millennials, which is a job field problem," said Pramono.

To be sure, Pramono will ensure that the government's budget management can effectively absorb employment opportunities if later elected as Governor of Jakarta.

"As long as it is managed professionally, openly, transparently, and now it is an era of openness. We are sure we will both do that," he added.

Regarding employment absorption, Pramono also promised to allow residents who only graduated from elementary school (SD) to work as officers for handling public infrastructure and facilities (PPSU) or orange troops.

According to Pramono, the work of the cleaning staff at the village level in orange uniforms does not require a minimum requirement for higher education. Elementary school certificates are deemed sufficient if the person concerned can work to clean the environment.
