JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) continues to make efforts to complete infrastructure development in the Super Priority National Tourism Strategic Area, one of which is Mandalika in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

In the Mandalika National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN), the 2020 Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) infrastructure budget allocation is IDR 903.4 billion.

The budget is used for the development of flood control for the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK), the construction of the Lombok International Airport Bypass (BIL) road, the development of the area in the three Gili, the development of the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) network, the Rinjani geopark area and the construction of homes. stay).

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the construction of the Bypass BIL road along 17.4 kilometers would improve connectivity from Lombok International Airport to Mandalika Tourism Area with a budget of IDR 814 billion and the implementation period of 2020-2021.

"Currently in the auction stage, construction is expected to start in May 2020. Two-thirds of land acquisition has been completed, while the rest will begin to be paid this week and next week," said PUPR Minister Basuki in his written statement, Wednesday, March 18.

The BIL Bypass road is built with a width of 50 meters, 4 lanes equipped with sidewalks and road medians. This infrastructure will later support access to the MotoGP circuit which will also be built in the Mandalika area.

In addition, there will also be the construction of a 5 kilometer-long KEK Mandalika flood control which is targeted to start construction at the end of March 2020 and complete in December 2020 with a budget of IDR 75 billion.

The PUPR Ministry will also build a Promenade in Gerupuk Village, Central Lombok Regency which is one of the tourist destinations along with the MotoGP event.

The village offers cultural tourism and the beauty of Kuta Mandalika Beach which is a tourist location for surfing or diving with a budget of IDR 50 billion with the implementation period November 2020-December 2021.

In addition, the development of the 3 Gili areas namely Gili Air, Meno and Trawangan in North Lombok Regency with a budget of IDR 70.2 billion which is targeted to be completed by the end of 2020.

In the housing sector, the Ministry of PUPR this year allocated a budget of Rp. 31.3 billion, which is to increase the capacity of the final management site (TPA) in Pengengat with a volume of 17,500 households.

Then, the construction of the 3 Gili Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) in North Lombok Regency with a total need for clean water, namely Gili Air 19 liters per second, Gili Meno 8 liters per second and Gili Trawangan 51 liters per second with a budget of IDR 30.9 billion.

As an alternative accommodation for the MotoGP event, the PUPR Ministry will also build around 750 residential units in Central Lombok Regency. The independent housing program, known as house renovation in NTB, is also budgeted for in 2020, namely Rp.47.4 billion for 2,300 units.
