4 One Motorcycle Cyclists Died While Plunging Into Abyss In Candipuro Lampung

LAMPUNG SELATAN - South Lampung Resort Police, Lampung, is still conducting an investigation to reveal the cause of the single motorcycle accident that killed four people at the Way Gelam Bridge, Candipuro District.

Head of the South Lampung Police Traffic Unit AKP R. Manggala Agung Sri Mahardjo said his staff had visited the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.

"Yes, it is true that the accident happened this morning and we are still investigating the accident that killed the four people," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 20.

He ensured that the four accident victims were not drunk. The temporary suspicion is that the cause of the accident was because the driver could not control the vehicle when passing through the corner so that the vehicle fell freely into the ravine.

"The temporary assumption is not to drive drunk, but it is indeed a single accident that is suspected because the driver cannot control the vehicle," said the Traffic Head.

According to Manggala, the chronology of the accident began when the white Honda Vario motorbike drove from the direction of Candipuro Market to Sidomulyo District.

"According to the testimony of witnesses at the TKP, the Honda Vario Nopol BE 6251 OM motorcycle rode four people, walking from the direction of Candipuro Market towards Sidomulyo Market. Arriving at the TKP, it was suspected that the road was high and the situation was sloping so that the driver could not control his motorbike, then fell under a road bridge, estimated to be approximately 10 meters deep, which resulted in the driver and the driver died," he said.

The identities of the victims who died were a man named Ratiwan (39), Dedi Priyono (39) and Abdul Majid (35) who were registered as a resident of Karang Pucung Village, Way Sulan District, and a woman named Susilawati (24) from Tanjung Jaya Hamlet, Tanjung Ratu Village, Katibung District.
