Access To Health On Pulau Rempang And Galang, Kodam 1/BB With Artha Graha Cares To Relive RSKI

BATAM - Kodam 1/Bukit Barisan together with Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) collaborated with PT Makmur Elok Graha through Artha Graha Kesehaha (Arthakes) to reactivate the Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI) to provide services to the community on Galang Island, Rempang, and surrounding areas.

Since the end of 2022, the Special Hospital for Infections (RSKI) on Galang Island has stopped accepting patients and is not operating after President Joko Widodo stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed to endemic.

Seeing the adequate condition of facilities and hospital capacity for reuse, Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) collaborates with PT Makmur Elok Graha through Artha Graha Keseha (Arthakes) to reactivate RSKI to provide services to the community on Galang Island, Rempang, and its surroundings. "We from AGP will continue to be committed and pay great attention to the public health sector by presenting health services such as general practitioner practices, obstetricians and dentists at RSKI," said Trijono Director of PT Makmur Elok Graha on 17 November. In addition, based on data collected from the results of health checks carried out by Arthakes, it can be observed that in the last 1 month, people on the island of Rempang tend to experience several health problems such as hypertension, cholesterol, and ISPA.

To prevent hypertension, you should avoid types of foods that contain high salt content. In addition, consuming nuts excessively can also increase cholesterol levels in the body, "explained dr. Aulia, an Arthakes medical worker.

The reactivation of the RSKI by Artha Graha Peduli begins with the signing procession for the cooperation carried out on November 17, 2023 in the RSKI area by Major General TNI Mochammad Hasan, Pangdam 1/BB and Fernaldi Anggadha representing Artha Graha Peduli.

"For residents of Pulau Rempang and its surroundings, hopefully this hospital can provide general health services that can be directly felt by the community. Hopefully we can maximize this facility well", said TNI Major General Mochammad Hasan.

This event was also attended by the Mayor of Batam and the Head of BP Batam, Muhammad Rudi. He hopes that this collaboration can have a good impact in terms of health services for Galang residents and their surroundings.

"I thank the Pangdam and the Artha Graha Peduli foundation for paying attention to the health of the Batam city community, especially the Galang area," said Rudi. In addition to the signing ceremony for cooperation, Artha Graha Peduli also carries out health counseling activities, free distribution of basic necessities, to free health checks such as checking blood sugar, gout, and cholesterol. All these activities are a form of dedication to Artha Graha Peduli in providing assistance and support to the community in the Galang Island area, Rempang and its surroundings.

We are very grateful and hope that this hospital will run again quickly, and be equipped with the same facilities as the hospital in Batam," said Susianti, a resident of Galang.
