There Was An Explosion When The Indonesian Air Force Plane Was In A Position In Pasuruan

There was an explosion when the plane was in a position and had fallen on the slopes of Mount Bromo, Pasuruan, East Java. There is no information about the casualties.

From the video footage of residents, it appears that the plane in the hilly area caught fire and emitted black smoke, Thursday, November 16. At the location there was an explosion that shocked residents around the location.

"It is not certain that we are still heading to the location. We were asked to bring a body bag," said Head of BPBD Pasuruan Sugeng Hariyadi as quoted from Kompas TV broadcast, Thursday, November 16.

From the scattered video, there were debris from the Super Tucano plane purchased by the Indonesian government from Brazil in 2012. The fire was seen burning parts of the plane and black smoke at the crash site of the Indonesian Air Force aircraft.

Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo confirmed the crash of the two Indonesian Air Force aircraft.

"That's right (in Pasuruan, ed.) and there are two (fighters)," said Marshal Fadjar, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 16.

The Indonesian Air Force is still investigating the incident, including the possibility of soldiers being victims, causing the crash, and the chronology of events.

The two Air Force aircraft that crashed were known to each unit with registration numbers TT-3111 and TT-3103.
