Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Receives Visit From Communist Party Secretary Zhejiang China

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin received a visit from the Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, the Zhejiang Provincial Committee, the People's Republic of China (RRT) Yi Lianhong, at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta.

On this occasion, the Vice President and Yi Lianhong discussed various collaborations between Indonesia and China, especially Zhejiang Province, which has been achieved and can be improved in the future.

"They not only discussed various achievements that have been achieved in cooperation, especially in the Chinese investment sector by the Provinces of Zhejiang and Indonesia, but also for a more brilliant prospect," said RRT Ambassador to Indonesia Lu Kang after attending the meeting reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

Ambassador Lu Kang said Yi Lianhong to Indonesia was his first visit. His arrival at the Indonesian Vice Presidential Palace was warmly welcomed by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

According to Lu Kang, there is a lot of potential for cooperation between Indonesia and China, in this case Zhejiang Province.

Lu Kang said Yi Lianhong was very interested in the cooperation of the halal industry which was intensively promoted by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, including during a visit to China last September.

Meanwhile, Vice President Ma'ruf encouraged more investment from China, including for the nickel industry and others.

"Of course, investors will follow up on it for discussion. Both parties also see a more brilliant outlook," said Lu Kang.

Yi Lianhong arrived in Indonesia on Sunday (12/11) night, and will be in Indonesia until Wednesday (15/11).
