JAKARTA Often stolen by thieves, five iron plates covering the waterways in Grogol Petamburan and Palmerah sub-districts have been repaired again.

"The theft was last Sunday (4 November) night and today has been repaired by the West Jakarta Highways Sub-dept.," said West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. Purwanti Suryandari, Tuesday, November 7.

Some of the missing iron plate points are located on Jalan S Parman, Grogol Petamburan District, and across from Taman Catellya, Palmerah District.

Before being repaired by the West Jakarta (Jakbar) Bina Marga Sub-dept. (Sudin), his party installed a dividing line around the location of the stolen channel cover iron plate so as not to cause casualties.

Based on the photo seen, officers made a water channel cover using cement cast. Not with iron anymore.

"Previously we had installed a barrier line, I'm afraid there were victims. Today it has been repaired," said Purwanti.

He appealed to the public to immediately report to the police if they found the persons who stole the public facilities.

"If there are residents who see it again (the theft), please immediately report it to the authorities, to the police," said Purwanti.
