Sidoarjo Regency Government Tests Krian Flyover

SIDOARJO. - The Sidoarjo Regency Government, East Java, conducted a trial of Jalan Layang Krian at the end of this year following the progress of its construction reaching 95 percent.

Sidoarjo Regent Ahmad Muhdlor said Krian Flyover was built crossing the 38+897 kilometer railroad across Surabaya-Solo from Jalan Raya Moh Yamin to Jalan Kyai Mojo Krian.

"The length of this flyover is about 700 meters plus 100 meters at the end of each flyover for derivatives," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 4.

The Sidoarjo Regency Government continues to monitor the progress of the project development where the current work is just the final process.

"The project for the construction of Jalan Layang Krian has entered the final stage, namely the installation of public street lighting (PJU), road markings, and the installation of ornaments on bridges," said Gus Muhdlor, Ahmad Muhdlor's nickname.

In addition to Krian Flyover, the Regent of Muhdlor also continues to monitor the Tarik Flyover, which currently has 90 percent progress.

Gus Muhdlor is optimistic that the two projects will be completed by the end of 2023 as the target has been determined.

"The physical condition of the Krian and Tarik Flyover Road projects is smoothing out. Seeing the current conditions, we are sure that by the end of the year it will be completed," he said.

Head of the Team for the Acceleration of Preparation for the Construction of Krian Flyover and Tarik Flyover, Bharuni Aryawan, said that the progress of the work on these two flyover projects was in the final stages before the feasibility test was carried out.

"Before it is finished and ready to be operated or used by road users, the two lanes will be tested for feasibility first," said the man who also serves as Head of the Cipta Karya Settlement Housing and Spatial Planning Office of Sidoarjo Regency.

The project is a collaboration between the Central Government and the Sidoarjo Regency Government and the East Java Provincial Government to unravel congestion at the crossing of the Krian and Pull roads.

The two projects have a budget sourced from the APBN through the Director General of Railways at the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. The budget allocation for the construction of Jalan Layang Krian reached Rp. 167 billion and for Jalan Layang Tarik amounting to Rp. 60 billion.

To support the acceleration of the construction of Jalan Layang Krian, the Sidoarjo Regency Government has issued a land acquisition budget of IDR 7.5 billion. The budget is used to compensate for community land affected by development.
