7 South Jakarta Residents Positive For Monkeypox Isolated At RSUD And Sulianti Saroso Hospital

The South Jakarta Health Office (Dinkes) said there were 7 residents who were exposed to Monkey Pox (Mpox) who are currently in isolation at the South Jakarta Hospital and Sulianti Saroso Hospital, Jakarta.

"In South Jakarta, 7 cases have been found and all patients have been treated for isolation at hospitals in South Jakarta and RSPI Sulianti Saroso," said Head of the South Jakarta Health Sub-dept. Yudi Dimyati in a short message, Tuesday, October 31.

Furthermore, said Yudi, for preventive measures, his party carried out vaccinations from October 23 to 30 yesterday.

"The Mpox vaccination starts from October 23 to October 30. The implementation has now been completed and is being evaluated by the service," he said.

Yudi said that the vaccination for monkeypox is limited in nature. In fact, the information for the distribution is only through several services.

"Currently, 189 people in South Jakarta have received the vaccination. Because the vaccine is limited, it is prioritized in the population. That's why registration is not disseminated through the media," he said.

To prevent Mpox transmission, said Yudi, there are 4 ways.

1. Having safe, clean, healthy sexual intercourse. If you have a fever or have symptoms of leting filled with naah water, acne, redness, coreng, don't have sex first (whether oral or genital)

2. Avoid physical skin contact with the skin on the wound

3. Healthy clean lifestyle by diligently washing hands using running water and soap and wearing masks.

4. Vaccination in vulnerable groups is at high risk.
