Leader Regeneration, Gibran Rakabuming Brings New Spirit In The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the National Leadership Council of the Anti-Corruption Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (DPN LAKRI), Ical Syamsudin, expressed his appreciation for the courage of the Chairman of PAN Zulkifli Hasan to support Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the Vice Presidential Candidate accompanying Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election. According to Syamsudin, this decision is very precise and measurable, and he highly appreciates the participation of millennials and Gen Z in this political process. Gibran will represent young voters who reach 55% or around 107 million voters in 2024. Renewable voters and young voters have an important role in the 2024 presidential election,'' said Syamsudin Wednesday, October 25. Furthermore, Syamsudin explained, voters aged 17 to 30 years amounted to 63,953,031 people or 31.23 percent, while voters aged 31 to 40 years reached 42,398,719 people or 20.70 percent. By combining their votes, they have nearly 52 percent of voters. He noted that voters who are under 17 years old, because they are married, only reach 0.003 percent or 6,697 voters. While voters aged 40 years and over amounted to 98,448,775 people or 48.07 percent. So whoever wants to win or choose a leader who brings change must be able to get support from youth, because his role is very significant,'' he said. He said, a young leader under 40 years old, as a vice presidential candidate, will accelerate Indonesia's regeneration towards 100 years of independent and advanced Indonesia. He hopes that this young leadership will motivate Indonesian youth to rise, love their nation, and prepare themselves as a candidate for future leader.
