Third Day Of Fire At TPA Rawa Cat Tangerang: AirNav Issues NOTAM And Coordination With BMKG

TANGERANG - AirNav Indonesia responded to the incident at the Rawa Cat TPA, Neglasari, Tangerang City, because thick smoke rising high could disrupt flights at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang City.

AirNav Indonesia's Secretary of Nursing, Hermana Soegijantoro, admitted that until now there have been five airlines that have been disrupted due to the garbage fire.

Therefore, his party issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) number A3092-23. The goal is to notify all flights to maintain safety.

"The General Company of the Indonesian Aviation Navigation Service Institute (Perum LPPNPI) has taken mitigation steps by issuing a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) number A3092-23," Hermana said in a written statement, Sunday, October 22.

Hermana also said that he had coordinated with the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the CGK Airport meteorological station. The goal is to find out wind information in the next week.

"To update the information regarding the prediction of wind direction in the next week," he said.

In addition, his party has also coordinated the scenario for the operation of water bombing helicopter flights by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) so that the fire that caught fire at the Rawa Cat TPA was extinguished more quickly.

"To maintain flight safety while at the same time supporting efforts to deal with fires carried out by BNPB," he concluded.
