Not Becoming Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidate, Sandiaga Encouraged PPP To Enter TPN

Chairman of the PPP DPP Achmad Baidowi urged the Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) PPP Sandiaga Uno to be included in the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar Presiden.

This was done by PPP after failing to make Sandi a candidate for vice president candidate (cawapres) for Ganjar. The reason is, the coalition supporting Ganjar has appointed Mahfud MD as Ganjar's companion in the 2024 presidential election.

"PPP does propose that Mr. Sandi because he wants to win Mr. Ganjar together, then as Chairman of the National Bappilu PPP, he will include or enter the TPN," said the man who is familiarly called Awiek at the TPN Media Center, Ganjar President, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

He emphasized that Sandiaga would remain with PPP to win Ganjar-Mahfud. As for the proposed position for Sandi at TPN, he said it needed to be discussed internally at TPN Ganjar Pranowo.

However, he said Sandi had expertise and a mass base that could help win the Ganjar-Mahfud pair.

"PPP wants to propose that he enter the TPN, either as a council of experts, coaches, or whatever his name is because of Pak Sandi's ability in terms of communication and his community, we need to be able to win Mr. Ganjar and Mr. Mahfud MD," said Awiek.

Previously, the General Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP Megawati Soekarnoputri announced Mahfud MD as a candidate for vice president (bacawapres) who accompanied Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) contestation.

After Megawati announced the figure Mahfud entered the event room. He was seen wearing a green batik and a black skullcap. He entered the room together with Ganjar wearing a black shirt.

After that, the two of them sat in the front row of seats facing Megawati who sat facing the invited guests. Megawati explained that Mahfud was not a foreign figure for her. Previously, Mahfud had been a member of the BPIP Board of Trustees.

According to him, Mahfud is an intellectual figure and has complete experience, especially in the realm of law.

In addition, Megawati called Mahfud a figure who often defended small people.
