Kapolda: 28 TPS In Papua Mountains Are Around KKB Locations

WAMENA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri revealed that 28 polling stations (TPS) in Papua Province are located in the vicinity of the armed criminal group (KKB) location.

"It is true that 28 polling stations were reported to be in the vicinity of the KKB location, namely five of the eight districts in the Papua Mountains Province," said Inspector General Pol. Mathius Fakhiri in a meeting with the Acting Governor of Papua Mountains, as well as the chairman of the KPU and the head of Bawaslu throughout Papua Mountains in Wamena reported by ANTARA, Saturday, October 7.

The Regional Police Chief said the five districts were Jayawijaya Regency, Bintang Mountains, Tolikara, Lanny Jaya, and Central Mamberamo Regency.

Of the 5,850 polling stations, apart from being around the KKB location, his party has also grouped them into less vulnerable, vulnerable, and very vulnerable.

Of the three criteria, he said, most were categorized as vulnerable, reaching 4,289 polling stations. Most were in Yahukimo Regency as many as 1,341 polling stations, 1,024 tolikara, 763 polling stations, Lanny Jaya 613 polling stations, Nduga 223 polling stations, Central Mamberamo 123 polling stations, Yalimo 114, and Bintang 88 TPS Mountains Regency.

The TPS category is very vulnerable, recorded 619 polling stations spread across Lanny Jaya Regency 253 polling stations, Nduga 180 polling stations, Bintang 122 TPS Mountains, Tolikara 59 polling stations, Mamberamo Tengah four polling stations, and Jayawijaya Regency one polling station.

Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said that Yalimo Regency and Yahukimo Regency, no polling stations were categorized as very vulnerable.

For the less vulnerable category, continued the Kapolda, 768 polling stations were recorded spread across six districts and two districts that did not have TPS in the area.

"Two districts whose TPS is not included in the category are less vulnerable, namely Tolikara and Yahukimo," said the Papuan Police Chief.

The working area of the Papua Police currently includes four provinces, namely Papua, Papua Mountains, Central Papua, and South Papua.
