TNI-Polri Deploy 15,581 Personnel To Secure The AIS Forum Summit In Nusa Dua Bali

DENPASAR - TNI-Polri deployed 15.581 personnel with details of 11.099 TNI and 4.482 Polri personnel to secure the holding of the Archipelagic and Island States High Level Conference (KTT AIS) Forum 2023 in Nusa Dua, Bali.

"There are 15.581 personnel involved from the TNI, 11,000 of the TNI itself and four thousand of the National Police. We are collaborating and coordinating, as well as cooperation to secure the 2023 AIS Forum Summit," said Commander of the Joint Defense Area Command (Pangkogabwilhan) II Marsdya TNI Andyawan Martono Putra accompanied by the Head of the National Police, Komjen Mohammad Fadil Imran, during the deployment of security forces at the 2023 AIS Forum Summit at Niti Mandala Field, Renon, Denpasar, Bali. reported by ANTARA, Saturday, October 7th.

Andyawan said the troop deployment, which was attended by thousands of TNI-Polri soldiers and other relevant stakeholders, was aimed at checking the readiness of personnel and materials that would carry out the task of securing the Heads of State and delegates participating in the AIS Summit from 8-13 October 2023.

This security activity, he said, was different from the previous summits held in Labuan Bajo, NTT and Jakarta where the AIS Forum 2023 Summit was the AIS Forum Summit which was first held in Indonesia since the AIS Forum was held behind closed doors in 2018.

Andyawan stated that the international forum, which will be attended by representatives from 51 island and island countries, with a target of 25 representatives at the head of state/government level and 30 to 47 representatives at the ministerial level, is a challenge for the TNI-Polri.

Pangkogabwilhan II believes that with various Indonesian successes holding several international events, the TNI-Polri are ready to secure the AIS Forum 2023 Summit which will be held in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, 10-11 October 2023.

"We have shown the world how our capacity is in securing large and complex international-scale events. I believe in the ability and fighting spirit of every individual personnel here," he said.

Especially TNI personnel who are members of the VVIP Joint Integrated Security Command (Kogabpadpam) will hold a VVIP Security Operation (PAM) against the President, Vice President and state guests at the level of the Head of State or Head of Government in VVIP security activities.
