Aceh Besar Police Investigate Findings Of Human Skeletons In Drums

BANDA ACEH - Aceh Besar Police investigated the findings of a human skeleton in a cement-corrested drum in Krueng (river) Jurong Iboh, Reuh Dayah Village, Indrapuri District, Aceh Besar District.

Aceh Besar Police Chief AKBPCarlie Syahputra Bustam said the discovery of the human skeleton was reported by Muhda Hadi Saputra, a Reuh Dayah resident, on Sunday (1/10) evening at 18.00 WIB.

"At that time, the complainant cleaned the road to the river to collect water to water the plants in the garden. At that time, the complainant saw a drum in the river, curiously encouraging the reporter to open it," said the Police Chief, quoted by ANTARA.

Furthermore, the complainant approached the drum and found a number of bones that were strongly suspected to be human skeletons. The reporter reported the discovery to the village apparatus and forwarded it to the Bhayangkara personnel for the Community Security and Order Development (Bhabinkamtibmas) of the Indrapuri Sector Police.

From the report, the Aceh Besar Police sent an identification team to the location. With the help of Koramil 06 Indrapuri personnel and local residents, the team further examined the drum.

"The team found a human skeleton that was thought to have been in the drum for a long time. The team also found a yellow t-shirt with a number 13 writing and cloth pants," said the Police Chief.

According to information from the local community, the drum has been in the river since 2011 and has been used by local residents to look for fish.

The Aceh Besar Police appealed to people who feel they have lost their family members with the characteristics of these clothes to immediately contact the nearest police force to assist in the process of further identification.

"The police are investigating further to uncover the discovery of the human skeleton in the drum that was cast by cement," said Police ChiefCarlie.
