Four KKB Members Died During a Shootout Early Saturday Morning in the Bintang Mountains

JAYAPURA - A shootout occurred early Saturday morning between the joint TNI-Polri team and the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the Bintang Mountains Regency area, Papua Mountains.

In his written statement, Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force (DC) explained that the shootout that occurred early Saturday morning took place around the Oksibil area.

The KKB members who died are suspected to have been the perpetrators of various acts of armed violence that occurred in Oksibil District and Serambakon District Monday (18/9) and Tuesday (19/9).

"Yes, that's right, we have succeeded in paralyzing four KKB members in the Bintang Mountains Regency and confiscating two firearms," ​​explained Faizal.

He admitted that until now the identities of the four KKB members have not been identified.

"The evacuation process is underway because members in the field are still cleaning up," said Faizal.

The Head of the Bintang Mountains Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police (AKBP )Dafi Bastoni, added that law enforcement carried out in the Bintang Mountains involved various TNI-Polri troops, including from the Gakkum Task Force, namely the Delta Team, Brimob Regiment III, Kopassus, namely the Nanggala Task Force, North Sulawesi Brimob, Pamtas Yonif 310/KK Task Force, namely Bintang Mountains Task Force and Police.
