Only Anies-Cak Imin Invited, PKS Calls Rizieq Shihab's Code Supporting Amin's Partner

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) does not deny the possibility of support from the mass supporters of Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS) to the prospective Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates for the Change Coalition of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin. The reason is, of the three presidential candidates only Anies Baswedan and his vice presidential candidate were invited to the HRS women's wedding reception, namely Syarifah Fairuz Syihab and Sayyid Muhammad Bagir Alathas. "If you look at the invited candidates, only AMIN candidates will win," said PKS spokesman Ahmad Mabruri, Friday, September 29. When asked if PKS hopes that Rizieq Shihab will support Anies-Cak Imin in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, Mabruri is reluctant to comment. He emphasized that his party only wants the Amin pair to win. "PKS hopes that the AMIN pair will win," he said. Previously, there was a video recording of the prospective presidential candidate Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar sitting flanking Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS). In the video, Anies and Cak Imin can be seen wearing a black cap while HRS is white. Both were seen sitting sneezing and praying together. Anies said the meeting at Markaz Syari'ah Jalan Petamburan III, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta on Wednesday night to fulfill Rizieq Shihab's invitation. "We are here to fulfill the invitation to witness wedding, praying and that's all," he said.

Similarly, Cak Imin also emphasized that there was no political discussion at the meeting. The meeting, he said, was in order to attend the wedding of Rizieq Shihab's daughter. "There is no (special talk), just watching the wedding of his daughter," said Cak Imin, Thursday, September 28.
