PeKANBARU - Riau Police destroyed 9.94 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine by mixing the evidence into a cleaning liquid in the Riau Police Headquarters yard.

"The purpose of this extermination is as a form of transparency to the public and the Riau Police invites BNN, prisons, religious leaders and related agencies to witness the destruction of mental damage to the nation's next generation," said Riau Deputy Chief of Police Brigadier General Kasihan Rahmadi as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 27.

According toRahmadi, in addition to methamphetamine, 60.23 kilograms of dried marijuana were also destroyed by burning in the drums while 54,623 ecstasy pills were blended and cleaned with cleaning fluid.

Brigadier General Kasihan Rahmadi said 16 of the total four cases that were successfully uncovered, out of a total of four suspects, four of them will follow the rehabilitation process because they only have the status of users.

"In addition to being a form of transparency to the public, the destruction of this evidence as one of the requirements for investigators to carry out phase II to the Prosecutor," said Kasihan Rahmadi.

He explained that seven suspects were arrested for distribution of evidence of 9.94 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 54,623 ecstasy pills. The distribution of methamphetamine was revealed by the Riau Police's Narcotics Directorate Sub-Directorate I on Tuesday (5/9) in three locations.

The first disclosure was made in the Labersa hotel room NO. 340 Labersa Street, Tanah Putih Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar. The second location is at Perum Tunas Jaya Residence Blok 04 Jalan Agree, Tenayan Raya, Pekanbaru. And the third TKP on Jalan Purnama, Dumai Barat District, Dumai City.

"Seven suspects were arrested with the initials MS (30), NP (32) female, MA (33), Co (37), FR (44) and Zu (51) and AN (57). The third case was also revealed by Sub-Directorate I on November 10, 2022, with evidence of 1.76 grams. This third case was secured by a suspect with the initials Rh (40) on Jalan Utama Janggung, Tangung Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis.

The fourth case was revealed by Sub-Directorate II with evidence of 60.23 kg of dried marijuana with four suspects, four suspects were arrested at Sunday's disclosure (17/9).
